Mary J Treglia Community House is thrilled to announce that Georgina Martinez, BSW will join our team as the Director of our Translations & Interpretations Program. Georgina is a Siouxlander, she attended E.N. Swett elementary school and graduated from S. Sioux City High School. Go Cardinals!
Georgina comes to Mary J Treglia Community House from Haven House, a local agency that empowers survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Georgina has gained considerable experience in medicine and court interpretations while she advocated for Spanish-speaking clients.
Georgina is a proud graduate of Briar Cliff University’s Accredited Social Work Program; she received the prestigious Student Award of Service and also developed Immigration Simulation, a workshop that has been replicated at several colleges, workplaces and schools. Georgina is no stranger to Mary J Treglia Community House; she has worked with both family services and CampImagination at MJTCH. Our volunteers, board and staff are delighted to have her back.
